Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) Doors

The design usually comprises of a solid timber core door leaf for high strength, which is faced on both sides with a self-coloured GRP sheet to provide low maintenance and easily cleaned surfaces.

The leaf is lipped on all edges with thick aluminium section to reduce damage and strengthen the locking devices and hinge.

The doors are hung on a heavy duty, stainless steel continuous hinge with a high quality surface mounted or concealed closer mounted in the head, chosen for strength combined with low effort operation. Virtually any manufacture of door lock can be incorporated, including magnets, electric keeps, night latches and normal mortice locks. Vision panels of various designs can be fitted.

The product is tested to STS 202 BR2 and Secured by Design approved.

The matching frame and screens are, again, manufactured from heavy-duty aluminium, heavily reinforced within the section. The frame can have either an anodised finish or be powder coated in virtually any colour.

They have been designed to provide an almost limitless range of designs to suit individual requirements.

Infill panels can be toughened, laminated or wired glass, scratch resistant polycarbonate, GRP faced solid timber to match the door, or louvered aluminium for ventilation.

Most designs of entry control panels can be fitted, which can be wired within the frame.

All frames feature an integral threshold strip for total rigidity and security.

All fixings and screws are fully concealed or are of a high security type to prevent malicious removal.
